It’s starting to be a tradition that when anybody goes travelling they bring sweets. It’s a good tradition in my opinion. The boxes when empty serve as decoration, while the cookies just fly away so fast that you really have to try your best to have a piece and is such a good present!
So following this path, is my mom who recently went on a trip and when she got back flying in KLM (Royal Dutch Airlines) she bought on the plane a metal box of caramel waffles.
The cookies were gone, before I had the idea to take the pictures so instead I searched the KLM shop and found them. I do not own this photo and the rest is all taken by me.
So, my only experience with caramel waffles is by Starbucks and those are really good. You have the soft part on the exterior and the delicious golden and sticky filling on the inside. This one’s were very similar but they had cinnamon as a topping, that gave a little edge to it. Very yummy!!
They came inside of a plastic “bag”, all very compact and well-organized.
There is no special occasion to eat them. They are simply that treat that you get, when you go to the kitchen to get something else and you end up eating this instead. 😉
So if you ever fly with KLM and you just recalled that you haven’t bought anything for that person. Just call the shopping cart! You won’t be disappointed!
